Four killed, three missing in S’Korean boat accident

A fishing boat capsized on Tuesday in waters off the South Korean southern city of Geoje, leaving four dead and three missing, Yonhap news agency reported.
The 59-ton fishing boat, with 11 crew members on board, capsized after hitting a rope between a tug boat and a barge at around 4:32 p.m. local time in waters southeast of the Geoje city, South Gyeongsang province, South Korea’s coast guard said.
The coast guard have saved three sailors out of the sea at the incident area at around 7:00 PM local time. Then they rescued five sailors from the boat, four of whom were found dead.
The coast guard have sent a patrol boat and a helicopter for the search operation. Civil rescue team and navy forces have also joined in to search the remaining three missing crew members.
The fishing boat was sailing from Busan port to Geoje island when the accident happened, according to the coast guard.
Reckless sailing was estimated to have caused the incident, but the exact cause was under investigation.
