NFF inaugurates committees

The Nigeria Football Federation has said it will inaugurate new Electoral and Electoral Appeals committees on Monday.

The committees will take charge of the NFF Executive Committee election and attendant petitions.

In a statement by the spokesman for the NFF Ademola Olajire, the federation’s acting General Secretary, Lawrence Katken, said that the inauguration would take place at the National Stadium in Abuja.

“It is important that we inaugurate the committees immediately so that they can set the stage for the elections,” Katken said.

The NFF Extraordinary Congress on Saturday in Abuja constituted a new NFF Electoral Committee and Electoral Appeals Committee for the purpose of the coming election.

Members of the Electoral Committee are Jeriak Rowland (South South), Usman A. Usman ((North-West ), Mrs. Margaret Aku (North-Central), Mr. Hassan Adamu (North-East), Emeka Asogwa (South-East), Prof. Ademola Abass (South-West) and Christ Essien (South-South). The secretary is Katken.

The Electoral Appeals Committee has Effiong Oboho, Dr. Isaac Akinloye, Mr. Thomas Awok, Waribere Sonari and Mr. Simon Gyang as members. The Secretary is Queen Otarakpo.
