Nigeria Needs A Leader That Will Unite The People – Waziri

Alhaji Adamu Waziri
For Nigeria to make progress as a nation, it needs a leader that will unite the country into one indivisible unit, a delegate at the National Conference, Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri has said.
Waziri stated this while speaking to newsmen at his residence in Abuja yesterday.
According to him, such a leader, will be able to solve the daunting challenges facing the country, because when that time comes, he will be accepted and respected by all parts of the country, irrespective of tribal and religious differences.
“It is very possible to have a leader that will come and lead us based on the principles of basic human needs of the citizens. Poverty doesn’t know north or south, Muslim or Christian. Likewise, insecurity cuts across the country. It is along the unifying basic human needs that a leader will emerge and unite the country.
“Corruption doesn’t know Christian or Muslim, APC or PDP. But if we have a leader that fails to recognise this, it would divide the country,” he explained.
The delegate who was a former minister of police affairs expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome its numerous challenges and remain a top player in the world, and in the comity of nations.
“There is a bright future for Nigeria because we have been well endowed by God. We have the population, land mass that straddles six eco-systems, an enterprising population, great potentials in agriculture, educated elite and citizens that have made their mark all over the world,” he added.
