Nigerian singer offers virginity to Boko Haram in trade for kidnapped school girls

Image
Nigerian singer Adokiye Kyrian, 23, has been criticized online after offering her virginity to the militant Islamist group Boko Haram in exchange for the kidnapped school girls. If given the chance, a Nigerian pop singer claims she would offer up her virginity to the militant terror group Boko Haram in exchange for the 200 kidnapped school girls – creating a firestorm of social media backlash. "It is just unfair. They are too young. I wish I could offer myself in exchange," When a reporter informed her of the unspeakable acts the girls' kidnappers may be doing to them, the 23-year-old didn't back down from her suggested offer. It’s been two months since the terrorist group abducted more than 300 of the school girls in Chibok. Of those victims, 119 escaped during the siege and another 57 escaped in the first couple of days."They are between 12 and 15 year old girls for Christ sake. I am older and more experienced. Even if 10 to 12 men have to take me e...

Cameroon army says kills at least 10 suspected Boko Haram militants

Cameroon security forces have killed at least 10 suspected Boko Haram militants in three clashes in the north of the country near its border with Nigeria, a senior military official said on Thursday. Cameroon has deployed over 1,000 troops along the long and porous border after it came under pressure from its neighbor for not doing enough to counter the Islamist insurgents, who are suspected of using Cameroon as a base. Boko Haram grabbed global attention after kidnapping more than 200 girls from a school in northeast Nigeria in April, since when the group has killed hundreds of civilians. It has also carried out attacks and kidnappings in Cameroon. Cameroon defense forces killed six members of Boko Haram on Tuesday in the village of Wambache, Colonel Felix Nji Formekong, a regional military commander, told Reuters. In a separate clash at another village on the same day, two other militants were killed, and another two were killed after a suspected Boko Haram convoy attacked a...

It was a day of terror and horror when for the third time in three months, suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorist group struck again in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, this time inching into the heart of the city, where the popular Emab shopping plaza, Wuse II was bombed. The two earlier bomb attacks on the city last April and May were in Nyanya, in the outskirts of Abuja. The reign of terror stretched from Abuja to Mubi in Adamawa State and got to hitherto shielded Lagos. And as if to assert their unabashed determination to unleash maximum terror, a bomb blast was recorded in Mubi, Adamawa State, which was said to have killed one person. In Lagos, last night, a twin bomb explosion took place at the Folawiyo tank farm in Apapa, a few metres away from the corporate office of THISDAY Newspapers, killing four persons. The Abuja attack, which occurred at the busiest shopping plaza at about 4.00 pm yesterday is said to have claimed 21 lives, with 17 others se...
